Wendy Bumgardner from About.com:walking did a full review of the Shoe Odometer.  Here’s an excerpt from her article:

The shoe odometer is useful in keeping accurate tabs on the life left in your athletic shoes. As a pedometer, it has benefits and drawbacks. It is a great solution for those who can’t wear a waistband pedometer or otherwise find them to be annoying. You won’t misplace the shoe odometer or drop it in the toilet or leave it behind on the trail, when it falls off without you noticing it is gone. I have had all of those things happen with waistband pedometers.
